The purpose of this policy is to:
- Emphasize our commitment to transparent and flexible communication between managers and team members,
- Highlight that, in line with our management approach, doors are open to all employees and that this understanding plays an important role in strengthening communication at every level of the organization.
This approach is very important for the Enerjisa Üretim’s development in all areas. We expect each of our employees - who are at the center of our organization - to be willing to share their valuable ideas, as well as their positive or negative feedback, that will support our continuous improvement.
We encourage open communication, feedback, and discussion on all matters that are important to our employees. Employees may raise their concerns, questions, or suggestions beyond their own reporting line. By not allowing formal structures to slow us down and by building Enerjisa Üretim as an organization driven by ideas, we aim to:
- Establish effective collaboration
- Foster flexibility and creativity
Scope:
Managers at all levels are expected to keep their doors open in support of this policy. Managers should be ready to listen to employees either in person or through the digital tools used in our workplace (such as email or messaging applications), and they should promote a culture of trust and communication within their teams.
Manager Responsibilities:
Our Open Door Policy aims to turn good feedback into better results. Managers are responsible for creating a work environment in which employees can sincerely share their input, where such input is welcomed, advice is freely given, and issues are identified at an early stage. Managers are responsible for either escalating feedback received from their team members to senior management or taking action based on that feedback. Therefore, managers should:
- Always be transparent about what is being done and why, and share information openly
- Take an interest in employees’ personal development and create a development roadmap
- Avoid making promises that cannot be fulfilled
- Encourage open discussion of all ideas with team members
Ultimately, the main objective is to ensure that communication works in both directions.
Employee Responsibilities:
Communication is important and is built on mutual trust. Just as you trust your manager to listen to you, your manager relies on your objective approach to better evaluate information. Therefore:
- Each employee should attempt to resolve minor disagreements with colleagues before escalating them to their manager. Trust and communication are expected to function both horizontally and vertically.
- If a sensitive matter is involved, the time and place of the discussion should be planned in advance whenever possible.
- Employees may, in all circumstances, reach out to senior managers within their organization or to the People and Culture teams for feedback and should be proactive in giving and receiving feedback.
As stated in our strategic priorities in the field of People and Culture -
- Developing a culture of collaboration,
- Ensuring the continuity of employee engagement, happiness, and work-life balance,
- Supporting employees’ individual development -
the Open Door Policy will play an important role.
