E.ON SE is an investor-owned energy company based in Essen, Germany. E.ON’s operations are segmented into three operating units: Energy Grids, Customer Solutions, and Renewables. E.ON is mainly active in Germany, UK, US, Sweden, East-Central Europe and Turkey.
The Energy Grids segment consists of electricity and gas distribution grids to transform yesterday's power lines into tomorrow's smart energy grids. The Customer Solutions segment serves as a platform that works with customers to actively shape the energy change in Europe. These operations include providing energy, gas and heat to customers in Europe, and products and services that offer diverse advantages by increasing their energy efficiency and autonomy. The Renewable Energy segment consists of onshore Wind/Solar and offshore Wind. E.ON plans, constructs, operates and manages renewable energy generation assets.
