Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall technical direction and engineering support in the area of plant performance and efficiency, ensuring that all power station efficiency engineering matters are addressed in a consistent, timely, safe, reliable, efficient and cost effective manner,
- Assess the power generation system equipment performance, providing technical advice to support plant operating objectives, and supporting plant staff to monitor and improve unit efficiencies,
- Develop and implement performance monitoring and data validation systems and assess operational issues and develop options to improve performance and reliability of power plant equipment,
- Maintain and operate plant specific performance data analysis program to identify present and potential problems/trends and improvement opportunities, and recommend plant upgrades and process improvements,
- Lead, or assist with operational reviews and root cause analyses, and ensure that findings are communicated and acted upon to prevent recurrence,
- Lead, or assist with business case development for equipment modification and renewal as well as identify and evaluate new ideas, methods, technologies, innovative techniques, materials and best practices related to plant operation, and recommend improvements,
- Perform inspections and condition assessments of major power plant components to identify potential availability losses, and recommend appropriate corrective action,
- Monitor all electrical / mechanical systems and confirm they are operating at rated performance,
- Participate in budget preparation and administration, including capital improvement budget; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations.
Who are we looking for?
- Graduate Degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering,
- General knowledge of electrical, mechanical and thermodynamics principles,
- Significant relevant experience in power plant operations, maintenance or engineering,
- A postgraduate qualification in Engineering is desirable,
- At least 3 years experience in a similar position,
- Combined cycle power plant experience will be advantageous,
- Good documentation and reporting skills,
- High level people, communication, leadership, mentoring, customer and stakeholder management skills combined with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are also crucial,
- Should have proficiency in the use of key computer systems, including the MS Office and PI Vision,
- This position will be resident in Bandırma.
